これらすべては世界の財産と言っても過言ではありません。

私たち実行委員会は、和装で楽しむ世界最大の縁日を目指し、

伝統的な和装、日本文化、日本食の魅力を、

より身近に楽しんでもらえるよう、様々なスタイルで提案いたします。

暖簾・提灯・野点傘、などの日本伝統的なアイテムを使って演出し、

着・工芸・食・などが集結し、

埋め尽くされた和装の人々が彩を加えて空間が成立します。

業界とは違う立場で、

ただ単純に「和装って、日本文化ってカッコいい」と、

現代の日本人が体感し、

少しでも知りたい、学びたい、人に伝えていきたい、

業界で働いてみたい…とイベントを通して

意識が変わるきっかけになれるよう取り組んでまいります。

そしてわたしたちは、日本の誇るべき伝統文化、技術を価値ある財産として次世代へつなぎます。

Japanese aesthetic values and senses are to be found everywhere in this country, yet we, Japanese, do not seem to be aware of many of them. The unique culture has been cultivated and developed over the cycle of four seasons which has been repeated for a long time.
Japanese cuisine would attract gourmet fans from all over the world; exquisitely craftedpieces are to represent Japanese artistry and penchant for perfection. It is fair to say thatthese authentically Japanese qualities are treasured and cherished by the whole world, as well as by Japanese.

Tokyo Edo Week is the world’s biggest festival where people gather and have fun in Japanese dress. It will be presented in a way that the guests would feel as though they have travelled back in time to the EDO period.
Through proudly presenting this experience, we hope to passdown our invaluable cultural heritage of Japan to our next generation.

真の日本文化を世界に発信するプロジェクト「東京江戸ウィーク」の立ち上げに際し、象徴的な「家紋」をというご依頼の元、五大家紋である「片喰」「木瓜」「鷹の羽」「藤」「桐」の紋を巧みに組み合わせて一つの紋にデザインしました。花びらが七枚、五枚、葉が三枚で『七五三』で縁起を担ぎ、様々な人々が江戸に集まる様を表現しています。
